Sustainable Development
The sustainable development of Gammaplast is based on long-term adherence to the EGS principles, even to the point where these principles have taken a generally accepted formulation.
At Gammaplast, we see environmental responsibility as a cornerstone of our manufacturing process. In the creation of our plastic packaging, we pay close attention to environmental concerns. This results in maximizing the recycling of our technological waste and consistently reusing this waste in our finished products. Over the years, we've amplified the percentage of our technological waste that is reintegrated into our production line.

Project implemented in cooperation with the University of Latvia "Development of eco-label packaging" with reduced weight for a series of household chemical packages.
Production line replacement

Project implemented to replace 3 old production lines with new energy efficient ones.

Launched a project to install its own solar panel plant to generate electricity for its own needs with a capacity of 480 kW.
100% green energy

Gammaplast started purchasing 100% green energy produced by wind turbines.

Powering our production sustainably
At Gammaplast, we understand that the path to sustainability is multi-faceted. That's why we're not just transforming our materials and waste management; we're also revolutionizing our energy usage. We've made a conscious shift towards green energy, using 100% renewable energy in the production of our products. With a multi-year contract with a supplier that generates electricity from wind turbines, we're doing our part to reduce carbon emissions.

Our commitment to green energy is further demonstrated by our substantial investment in solar power. Our production and storage buildings are equipped with a vast array of solar panels, enabling us to harness the sun's energy to power our operations. This commitment makes our energy consumption even more environmentally friendly.
Driving innovation in materials
Our commitment to sustainability doesn't end with waste recycling. We have been at the forefront of integrating recycled plastic and bioplastics into our production. With the use of r-PET and r-HDPE, alongside sugarcane-based bioplastic, we are part of a new wave of eco-friendly production.
